Which aspects of the syllabus does the Centre assist schools with?

We specialise in practical demonstrations, particularly for Grade 10 to 12. Our practical’s are curriculum aligned as set out in the syllabus by the Department of Education. The NMBSTC works very closely with the Department of Education in ensuring that the practical’s are suited for each grade.

For the younger grades the centre develops creative, fun and hands-on activities in an effort to enlighten the learners in understanding abstract topics. The activities are curriculum aligned as set our in the syllabus by the Department of Education.

We prefer that our visitors book in advance as this assists us in ensuring that we manage the capacity of the venues and that the NMBSTC remains a safe and welcoming place to visit. There are also registrations forms that we prefer our visitors to complete and submit to us before their arrival at the NMBSTC. Should you show up on the day you will be required to complete the registration forms at reception before proceeding into the centre

How many learners can a practical session accommodate?

The NMBSTC science laboratory can accommodate up to 40 learners per practical session, depending on the type of practical that will be administered.
