Plugged in Pupils
The Fourth industrial revolution is a tech-driven era where robotics, automation and big data analytics are transforming how we live and work. To keep up with the world’s future needs, it is important for learners to be introduced to these technologies/subjects. Coding and robotics are aimed at guiding and preparing learners to solve problems, think critically, including to work collaboratively and creatively, as well as function in a digital and information-driven world. During the five days (In-house), children will get an opportunity to be introduced to coding and robotics (build small robots using Lego equipment) and explore our Science Centre and play games in the gaming area. For those who would like to join the programme at home, holiday programme packs will be made available with worksheets and links to download coding software and links to videos with instructions. All the children participating in the in-house programme on day 1 will receive a holiday goodie bag with resources and activities to complete at home. booking is essential for those who wish to participate in the in-house programme as space is only available for 20 individuals.
